തിരുവനന്തപുരം: വ്യവസായമന്ത്രി സ്ഥാനം രാജിവെച്ചൊഴിയേണ്ടി വന്ന ഇ.പി ജയരാജന് വീണ്ടും വിവാദത്തില്. മന്ത്രിയായിരിക്കെ കുടുംബക്ഷേത്ര നവീകരണത്തിന് 1200 ക്യുബിക് മീറ്റര് തേക്ക് സൗജന്യമായി നല്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് വനംമന്ത്രിക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം കത്ത് എഴുതിയതാണ് വിവാദമായിരിക്കുന്നത്. 

വിപണിയില് 15 കോടി രൂപ വിലവരുന്ന തേക്കാണ് മന്ത്രിയായിരിക്കെ ജയരാജന് സൗജന്യമായി ചോദിച്ചത്. കണ്ണൂര് ഇരിണാവ് ക്ഷേത്രനവീകരണത്തിനാണ് അദ്ദേഹം തേക്ക് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. മന്ത്രിയുടെ സ്വന്തം ലെറ്റര് പാഡിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഈ ആവശ്യം ചോദിച്ച് വനംമന്ത്രിക്ക് കത്തയച്ചത്. 

വനംമന്ത്രി കെ.രാജു ആ ആവശ്യം പരിഗണിക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് കണ്ണൂര് ഡിവിഷന് ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസര്ക്ക് കത്ത് കൈമാറി. അദ്ദേഹം ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസിലെ ഒരു ജീവനക്കാരിയെ വിട്ട് കത്തില് പറയുന്ന ഇരിണാവ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ നവീകരണ ജോലി നടക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ എന്ന് ആരാഞ്ഞു. അതനുസരിച്ച് നവീകരണ ജോലികള് നടക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് അവര് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് നല്കി. തുടര്ന്ന് കണ്ണൂരിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഡിവിഷനായ കണ്ണവത്തെ ഡി.എഫ്.ഒ തേക്കിനെ കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷണം നടത്തി.

റേഞ്ച് ഓഫീസര് ഇത്രയും ഭീമമായ അളവില് തേക്ക് കണ്ണവം വനത്തില് ഇല്ല എന്ന മറുപടി നല്കി. അതോടെ കണ്ണൂരിലെ വനംവകുപ്പ് ഇത്രയും വലിയ അളവില് തേക്ക് നല്കുന്നതിന് ചട്ടം  അനുവദിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്ന മറുപടി നല്കുകയായിരുന്നു. 

കണ്ണവം ഡിവിഷനില് ഇത്രയും അളവില് തേക്ക് കണ്ടെത്തുകയും വനംവകുപ്പ് സമ്മതം മൂളുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കില് തേക്ക് അനുവദിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥിതിയുണ്ടാകുമായിരുന്നു.

ജയരാജന്റെ കുടുംബബന്ധുക്കളാണ് ഇരിണാവ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ട്രസ്റ്റിലുള്ളത്.

ഊരും പേരും !

തമിഴ് നാട്ടിൽ 2016 മെയ് മാസം 16 നു സംസ്ഥാന അസംബ്ലിയിലേക്ക് മെമ്പർമ്മാരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാനുള്ള ഇലക്ഷൻ നടന്നു. 

തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലെ 234 നിയോജക മണ്ഡലങ്ങളെ, പല ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളായി  ഇങ്ങിനെ തരം തിരിക്കാം:-

എട്ട്  തരം കുടി ഇതിൽ പെടും. ‘കുടി’ എന്നത് തമിഴിൽ സ്വന്തബന്ധങ്ങൾ അടുത്തടുത്ത് താമസിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലമാണു. കുടിമകൻ എന്നാൽ ഡ്രങ്കാർഡല്ല, പ്രജ എന്നാണ് തമിഴിൽ. ആലങ്കുടി, മന്നാർകുടി, കാരൈക്കുടി, ലാൽഗുടി, തിട്ടക്കുടി തുടങ്ങിയവ. ഇങ്ങിനെ എട്ട് പേരുകൾ കുടിയിൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നവ  തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലെ നിയോജക മണ്ഡലങ്ങളായിട്ടുണ്ട്. അത്ര തന്നെ  പുരം എന്നും  അവസാനിക്കുന്ന മണ്ഡലങ്ങൾ. 

‘പുരം’ അഥവാ ‘പുരി’, എന്നത് നല്ല ഗ്രാമം എന്ന അർത്ഥത്തിലാണു പ്രചരിച്ചത്. ഉദാഹരണത്തിനു ഞാൻ ഒരു ദശാബ്ദത്തിലേറെ താമസിക്കുന്ന ജില്ലയുടെ പേരും അതിന്റെ ഹെഡ്ക്വാർട്ടേർസുമായ കാഞ്ചിപുരം. ഇത് പല്ലവ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ തലസ്ഥാനമായിരുന്നു. കാഞ്ചി  എന്നും കാചി എന്നും പണ്ട് കാലത്ത് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. രാമനാഥപുരമാണു മറ്റൊന്ന്. ഇത് സേതുപതികളുടെ ആസ്ഥാനം ആയിരുന്നു. പദ്മനാഭപുരം ട്രാവങ്കൂർ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ തലസ്ഥാനമെന്ന പോലെ വേറെയും നിരവധി പുരങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്. പിന്നെ വില്ലുപ്പുരം (വിഴുപ്പുറം), ശങ്കരപുരം, രാശിപുരം ഇവയൊക്കെയാണു തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് തൊകുതിയിൽ പെട്ട ചിലത്.

അഞ്ച്  വീതം,  മംഗലം, പേട്ടൈ, പാളയം, നഗർ, നല്ലൂർ എന്നും, നാല്  വീതം,  കോയിൽ, കുളം, പാക്കം, പാടി, പട്ടി, തുറൈ എന്നും, നാല്പത് നിയോജക മണ്ഡലങ്ങൾ  ഊർ  എന്നും അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

പാളയങ്ങൾ, ഉദാഹരണമായി  രാജപ്പാളയം, കുമരപ്പാളയം, മേട്ടുപ്പാളയം, ഗോപിച്ചെട്ടിപ്പാളയം, ഗൗണ്ടൻപാളയം.

വ്യവസായങ്ങളുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ പേട്ടൈ എന്നു വിളിക്കും. ചിലർ പേട്ട് എന്നും പറയും. പട്ടര എന്നാണു വർക്ക്ഷോപ്പിനു പറയുന്നത്. അതിൽ നിന്നും പരിണമിച്ചതായിരിക്കാം ഇത്. സൈദാപ്പേട്ടൈ. തെയ്നാമ്പേട്ടൈ, വാഷർമ്മേൻപേട്ടൈ കൊറുക്കുപ്പേട്ടൈ എന്നിങ്ങനെ നീണ്ടു പോകുന്നു വിവിധ പേട്ടൈകൾ. 

പാണ്ട്യനാട്ടിലെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളാണു പട്ടി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. ആണ്ടിപ്പട്ടി, കോവിൽപ്പട്ടി, ഉസിലമ്പട്ടി ഇവ ചില ഉദാഹരണങ്ങൾ..

 

കടൽക്കര ഗ്രാമങ്ങൾ കുപ്പം എന്നാണറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. അതിനടുത്തുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങൾ പക്കം എന്നും പാക്കം എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

കുളിക്കുന്നതിനു പടവുകൾ ഉള്ള നദിയോര പ്രദേശമാണു തുറൈ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നത്. മയിലാടും തുറൈ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണല്ലൊ. കടലോര നഗരമാണു പട്ടിണം (പട്ടണം). നാഗപട്ടിണം, അതിനുദാഹരണമാണു. മദ്രാസ് ഒരു കാലത്ത് പട്ടണം (പട്ടിണം) ആയിരുന്നു.

நாணயம் & நன்றி

       சமூகத்தின் மிகமிக ஏழ்மையான குடும்பம். 8thக்கு மேல் படிக்கவில்லை. கிராமத்தில் அடிமை போல் தொழில் செய்த முன்னோர்கள் வழியைப் பின்பற்ற மனமில்லை. வேறு தொழில் தெரியாது. எனவே, அங்கே வாழப் பிடிக்காமல், காசு இல்லாததால், வித்-அவுட் டிக்கெட்டில் ரயிலேறி, 1981 ஜனவரி 26-ல் சென்னைக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தார்.

சென்னையில் யாரையும் தெரியாது. பிளாட்பாரம் தான் வீடானது. கையில் காசும் கிடையாது. எழும்பூரைச் சுற்றி உள்ள ஹோட்டல்கள், ட்ராவல் ஏஜென்ஸிகளில் வேலை கேட்டார். கிடைக்கவில்லை. ‘யார் அறிமுகமாவது இல்லாமல் வேலை தர முடியாது’ என துரத்தினர். *தோல்வி மேல் தோல்வி.* பிச்சைக்காரர்கள், தொழுநோயாளிகள், பிக்பாக்கெட்காரர்கள் என வேறு வழியின்றி அம் மனிதர்களோடு பசியுடன் படுத்தார்.

ஒருநாள் இரவு பசி மயக்கத்தில் எழும்பூர் ரயில் நிலைய பிளாட்பாரத்தில் படுத்திருந்தபோது, படாரென்று ஓர் அடி விழுந்தது. எழுந்தால், அங்கிருந்தவர்களை எல்லாம் சந்தேகக் கேஸ் போட போலீஸ்காரர்கள் சுற்றி வளைத்தனர்.  ஜெயிலுக்குப் போவது நிச்சயமானது. எனவே ஓடினார்.  போலீஸ்  துரத்தியது. போலீஸால் அவ் இளைஞரைப் பிடிக்க முடியவில்லை.

அவரது ஓட்டம் அண்ணாசாலையில் ஓரிடத்தில் வந்து நின்றது. அங்கே பிளாட்பாரத்தில் சிலர் படுத்திருந்தனர். இந்த இளைஞரும் பாதுகாப்புக்காக அவர்கள் அருகிலேயே படுத்தார். அசதியில் தூங்கி விட்டார். விடியற்காலையில், ஒருவர் அந்த இளைஞரை எழுப்பி, ‘‘தம்பி, இந்த இடத்தை எனக்குத் தர்றியா? பணம் தருகிறேன்’’ என்றார். இவருக்கு ஒன்றுமே புரியவில்லை. தயக்கத்துடன் ‘‘எவ்வளவு?’’ என கேட்டார். ‘‘2 ரூபாய்’’ என்றார்.

என்ன பகுதி இது என நிமிர்ந்து பார்த்தால், ‘அமெரிக்கத் துணைத் தூதரகம்’ என போர்டு. அமெரிக்க விசாவுக்காக வருபவர்களுக்கு பிளாட்பார கியூவில் இடம்பிடித்துக் கொடுத்தால் பணம் கிடைக்கும் எனத் தெரிந்ததும் இன்ப அதிர்ச்சி. *அந்த ரூ.2 தான் சென்னையில் அவரது முதல் வருமானம். அந்த ரூ.2ல் பசியாறச் சாப்பிட்ட சாப்பாடு தான் அவரது வாழ்க்கையில் மறக்க முடியாத ருசியான முதல் சாப்பாடு.* பிளாட்பாரத்தில் இடம்பிடித்துக் கொடுப்பதையே தொழிலாகச் செய்ய முடிவெடுத்தார். சாயங்காலமே வந்து இடம்பிடித்துக் கொடுத்தார். ஆங்காங்கே துண்டுபோட்டு இடம்பிடித்தார் ரூ.2  நான்கானது. ரூ.4, 8, 10  இப்படித்தான் ஆரம்பித்தது அவரின் வாழ்க்கை.

ட்ராவல் ஏஜென்டுகளிடமிருந்து பயண டிக்கெட் பற்றிக் கேட்டுத் தெரிந்து கொண்டார். பயணச்சீட்டை வாங்க மக்களை டிராவல்ஸுக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்வார். *தனக்குக் கிடைத்த கமிஷனில் சிறிது மட்டும் எடுத்துக் கொண்டு மீதியை  வாடிக்கையாளருக்கே கொடுத்து விடுவார்.* இதனால் பல பயணிகள் அவரைத் தேடிவர ஆரம்பித்தார்கள்.

ட்ராவல் ஏஜென்டுகளுக்கு நம்பிக்கையான ஊழியராகவும், பயணிகளுக்கு ஓடி ஓடி உதவும் நண்பராகவும்  வளர்ந்தார். கிடைத்த வாய்ப்புகளைப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்ற வேட்கையுடன்  வெறித்தனமாக மிக உழைத்தார்.

*அப்போது நடந்த ஒரு நெஞ்சைத் தொடும் சம்பவத்தை அவரே விவரிக்கிறார்,* படியுங்கள்: ‘‘1980- களில் இலங்கைக்கு ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் இருந்து கப்பல் போக்குவரத்து நடந்தது. பயணிகளுக்கான விசா, பாஸ்போர்ட், டிக்கெட் போன்றவற்றை ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் சென்று கொடுக்கும் பணியை ஒரு ட்ராவல்ஸ் நிறுவனம் எனக்கு வழங்கியது. ராமேஸ்வரம் எக்ஸ்பிரஸில் கிளம்பினேன். ரயில், மண்டபம் ஸ்டேஷனில் நின்று விட்டது. வண்டி, மேலே போகாது என சொல்லி விட்டார்கள். நான் அங்குள்ள ஏஜென்டிடம் விசா, பாஸ்போர்ட், டிக்கெட் போன்றவற்றை கொடுத்தால்தான், அன்று பயணிகள் கப்பல் ஏற முடியும். விடியற்காலை மணி ஐந்தானது. திடீரென ஒரு யோசனை வந்தது.

பாம்பன் பாலத்தில் இரண்டு பக்கமும் தண்டவாளம் இருக்கும். நடுவில் ஸ்லீப்பர் கட்டை இருக்கும். கருங்கல் ஜல்லி இருக்கும். அதில் காலை வைத்து நடந்தால் 2 மணி நேரத்தில் போய்விடலாம் என்று தோன்றியது. தைரியத்தில் பையை முதுகில் சுமந்துகொண்டு வேகமாக நடக்க ஆரம்பித்தேன். பார்த்தால், உயரமான பாலத்துக்கு இடையே தூண்கள், ஸ்லீப்பர் கட்டை, தண்டவாளம் எல்லாம் இருக்கிறது. ஆனால் கருங்கல் ஜல்லி இல்லை. இடைவெளிதான் இருக்கிறது. சரி, ஸ்லீப்பரில் நடக்கலாம் என நினைத்து, பாலம் இரண்டாகப் பிரியும் பகுதிவரை வந்து விட்டேன். அதற்கு மேல் ஸ்லீப்பர் கட்டைகளில் ஒரே க்ரீஸ். கால் வழுக்குகிறது. காற்று வேறு, புயல்போல வீசுகிறது. கீழே அலை, உயரமாக எழும்பித் தண்டவாளத்தைத் தாக்குகிறது. உடல் எல்லாம் நனைந்து விட்டது. முதுகில் பாரம் வேறு. என்னால் நிற்கவே முடியவில்லை. சிறிது சறுக்கினாலும் அவ்வளவுதான். வாழ்க்கையே முடிந்துவிடும்.

என்ன ஆனாலும் சரி என்ற உறுதியுடன் அப்படியே தண்டவாளத்தின் மீது படுத்து, அதில் கைகளையும் ஸ்லீப்பரில் கால்களையும் வைத்து மாறிமாறித் தண்டவாளத்தைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு தவழ்ந்து செல்ல ஆரம்பித்தேன். அப்படியே தவழ்ந்து தவழ்ந்து பாம்பன் ஸ்டேஷனுக்குப் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தேன். அங்கிருந்து பஸ் பிடித்து நான் துறைமுகம் செல்லும்போது மணி 11 ஆகிவிட்டது. 12 மணிக்கு கப்பல் புறப்பட்டுவிடும்.

என்னைப் பார்த்ததும் எங்கள் ஏஜென்ட் ஓடிவந்தார். நான் பையைக் கொடுத்ததும் என்னைத் திரும்பிக்கூடப் பார்க்காமல் அங்கே காத்துக்கொண்டு இருந்தவர்களிடம் கொடுத்து, அவர்களைக் கப்பலில் ஏற்றினார். மற்ற ஏஜென்டுகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டனர். நான் நடந்ததைச் சொன்னேன். அவர்களுக்கு எல்லாம் ஒரே ஆச்சர்யம். என் முகவரியைக் கேட்டு வாங்கிக் கொண்டார்கள். எனக்கு வணிக வாய்ப்புகளை வாரி வழங்கினார்கள்.

*_சோதனைகள் தான் வெற்றிக்கான படிக்கட்டுகள் என்பதை நான் அனுபவபூர்வமாக உணர்ந்த நாள் அது.’_*👍🏻

தான் கற்றுக்கொண்ட அனுபவங்களை படிக்கட்டுகளாக்கி, 1986 ஜனவரி 17-ல் சென்னை, மண்ணாடியில் தனது சொந்த நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கினார் *‘மதுரா டிராவல்ஸ்’ அதிபர் வீ.கே.டி.பாலன்.* ரூ.1,500 வாடகையுடன் தனது நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கிய அவர் இன்று சொந்தக் கட்டடத்தில் ஆண்டுக்குப் பல கோடி ரூபாய் வணிகம் செய்யும் மாபெரும் நிறுவனமாகத் தனது நிறுவனத்தை வளர்த்துள்ளார். மதுரா டிராவல்ஸ் இப்போது IATA Approved Travel Agency. எல்லா நாடுகளின் தூதரகங்களும் இந்த நிறுவனத்தை அங்கீகரித்துள்ளன.

*1981-ல் சென்னைக்கு ரயிலில் ‘வித்-அவுட்’ டிக்கெட்டில் வந்தார் பாலன். இன்றும் அவர் ‘வித்-அவுட்’ டிக்கெட்தான் – 😀😀 ஆனால் விமானத்தில்.* ஆம். அவர் இன்று, எந்த நகருக்குச் செல்வதாக இருந்தாலும், டிக்கெட் தேவைப்படாத சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக அவரை ஏற்றிச் சென்று எல்லா விமான நிறுவனங்களும்  கெளரவிக்கின்றன.

இளைஞர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் சொல்ல விரும்பும் செய்தி என்ன என்றபோது, நொடியும் தயங்காமல் அவர் சொன்னார்: *‘‘நாணயம் – நன்றி* இவை இரண்டும் எனது மந்திரச் சொற்கள்.

1) *நாணயம் என்பது ‘சொன்னதைச் செய், செய்வதைச் சொல்.’* 2) *உதவி செய்தவர்களுக்கு வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் தேடித்தேடி நன்றியுடன் உதவும் முக்கிய பண்பு*. *நாணயம், நன்றி என்ற இவ்விரண்டுமிருந்தால், தோல்விகள் எல்லாம்  தோற்று ஓடிவிடும்.*தோல்விகளைத் தோற்கடியுங்கள்’ எனகி்றார். 👍🏻

Boycott Chinese Products!

     On 18th September 2016 Sunday early morning we had to face terrorist attack inURI bordering J& K LOC. The HQ of our one army contingent was under fire where shift changing was taking place among soldiers at that time. The soldiers had to loose 18 of them. The matter is under various levels of action. In the mean time people of India should be aware of who are our threat and who are our supporters. Since Pakistan is sponsoring terrorism it is our feeling that anyone supporting them is directly or indirectly weakening our cause. Our neighbour China  is  one such example. They blow hot and cold often wnen it comes to favour India's just cause. They even got a project through the POK area much to our discomfort.What can we do about it?

      Today China is the under the threat of economical slump. So china has devaluated its currency by 30%. According to the global economists, China will face economical slowdown by decreasing the prices of products by its domestic industries . so Chinese products will be available at very cheaper rate in Indian and other markets.
     

      But this is time to weaken Chinese economy, which we can do. Because  India is the biggest market for the China across the globe. China is making a business of ₹ 6,20,00,000 crore (of Indian rupees) per annum from  Indian market.
       

     It seems that China is always  interested to thwart Indias progress, be it UNSC or NSG. Even to declare a terrorist nurtured by Pak, India's efforts in UN, it was only China went against India supporting Pak. China supporting Pakistan openly  to counter India becoming  a sub-continental leader.
       

        Hence this is the time to crush Chinese economy, hence request each and every Indian  not to buy any Chinese product for a few months at least. It will be great if you will not buy product ever which is Made in China. Even here to make an appeal to all Indian Merchants and retailers that plz do not deal in Chinese products for upcoming one month as those products are going to be more cheaper.
       

      This is the time to slap china and to become A Patriotic Indian. Lets do it for Nation. Spread this message as much as you can.We should avail each and every chance to counter against the powerful vested interest like China.

Destiny that cannot be changed!

One Day Yamaraja approached a person and said:

"Hey, today is your last day!"

The person replied:  "But I'm not yet ready!".

Yamaraja said:  "Well today your name is the first one in my list".

"Okay then !  Kindly be seated, I will make some tea so that we will have it before we go".

Yamaraja obliged.

The Person served Yamaraja tea with some sleeping pills dissolved in it.

Yamaraja finished the tea and fell into a deep sleep as anticipated.

In the meantime the person took the 'terminal list' that Yamaraja was chasing and  removed his name from top of it and listed at the bottom !

Yamaraja woke up. He was too pleased with the person’s hospitality and told: "Because you have been so nice to me, I will start pick up the names  from the BOTTOM of the list today..!”

Moral:

Destiny ... Will never change... no matter how much you try.

The Onden Master

It was in  1963 that I just joined my eighth standard class at AH School. Many days passed but our class didn’t have a regular class teacher. Well, imagine a headless class with mischievous boys, many of whom were out grown in size and aged for that class. A few little boys like me were sandwiched among them in the class and found it extremely uncomfortable. We told the problems to some friendly teachers and got a stock response saying that the new class teacher will come and join anytime soon and thereafter he would take care of your well being. We prayed for that day and waited impatiently. One fine morning a lean fellow clad with a spotless shirt and dhoti arrived in the class and introduced us as our new class teacher. Many grown up laughed and a few smiled and the weakest of all sported despair. Wondered will he be able to do justice to his job!

Alas! He did a wonderful job as teacher, mentor and counsellor. Unfortunately it was only that year I had the opportunity to be their in his class. I never remembered him after leaving school. When I saw the obituary put up by his family members it was already five years over after he left the world. Sad indeed!
