 Obituary -M S Swaminathan

Mankombu Sambasivan Swaminathan, popularly known as M.S. Swaminathan, the legendary agricultural scientist and a key architect of the country's Green Revolution, passed away at his residence in Chennai on Thursday (28-09-2023), following age-related issues. He was 98. He and his wife and three daughters are also doyens of their field of expertise.

His Research Foundation (MSSRF) at Taramani guided us in environmental issues at Manali whenever we approached them in the past decade.

In his demise nation has lost  an evergreen scientist.
